OUR STORY
ORIGINALLY FOUNDED IN 1871
The VI Grill operates as the oldest eating establishment in Leelanau County, originally founded in 1871. Locally owned and operated by Chef and Owner Joshua Deters since 2009, the VI has undergone tasteful renovations over the years and blends classic Northern Michigan with modern ambiance. Chef Joshua has spent many years in the hospitality industry and studied at the renowned culinary program at Johnson & Wales University. The VI Grill invites everyone to come be a part of the Northern Michigan experience…come as our guest & leave as our friend.
